About the ECEGSA

Founded in 2005, the Electrical and Computer Graduate Students' Association (ECEGSA) is a student-run organization in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering that looks after the social, professional, and academic well being and development of over 350 ECE graduate students. We are a representative body of all graduate students in the department that endeavors to promote student welfare, life, and development. In particular, the ECEGSA actively participates on policy making committees, holds professional skills workshops and academic seminars, and organizes social events. Most importantly, the ECEGSA serves to facilitate interdepartmental networking between and amongst faculty, students, and staff.

The ECEGSA is also the host of the Alberta Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Research Symposium (AECEGRS), a Western Canadian conference promoting student communication and linking academic and industry leaders with emerging researchers.
